Confirmed ICE detention in Seaside on July 9, 2025

The Solidarity Network and the Seaside Police Department have confirmed that an individual was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) the morning of July 9, 2025, in Seaside.

The activity appears to be targeted enforcement. During “targeted enforcement”, ICE agents specifically look for people in a list of previously deported immigrants or individuals with prior legal offenses. No other details are available.

Immigration law enforcement officials have ramped up targeted enforcement operations in Monterey County in the last few weeks.

Individuals are encouraged to know their rights and be aware of their surroundings. If you see any potential ICE activity, call the hotline at 831-204-8082. If you are in a position to document ICE activity, make sure you are not interfering with law enforcement efforts.

People with prior deportation orders or records are encouraged to seek legal representation and make a Child Safety Plan. Know your rights and be aware of your surroundings.

La Red de Solidaridad y el Departamento de Policía de Seaside confirmaron que una persona fue arrestada por el Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE) la mañana del 9 de julio de 2025 en Seaside.

Al parecer, se trata de una operación de control selectivo. Durante esta operación, los agentes del ICE buscan específicamente a personas de una lista de inmigrantes deportados previamente o con antecedentes penales. No se dispone de más detalles.
